The Dang typeface is based on the Mohaqqaq style and is one of the six classical styles. The Mohaqqaq style is characterized by its elegant lines and regular spacing. One and a half dang of this style is round, while four and a half dang is flat. In this style, each letter has an independent form and maintains its fixed and defined shape. This style was one of the first to be redesigned by the skilled Ibn Muqla and later popularized by Ibn Bawwab.
