DANG FONT MOTION

Type Designer: Iliya Salimi

Sound Designer: Āshkar

The Dong typeface is based on the Mohaqqaq style and is one of the six classical styles. The Mohaqqaq style is characterized by its elegant lines and regular spacing. One and a half dong of this style is round, while four and a half dong is flat. In this style, each letter has an independent form and maintains its fixed and defined shape. This style was one of the first to be redesigned by the skilled Ibn Muqla and later popularized by Ibn Bawwab.

The approach to designing this typeface is not calligraphic but rather design-oriented. Therefore, adjustments have been made to align the forms with the designer’s conceptual space.
This typeface features two styles: an elongated style suitable for titles and a shorter style ideal for brief texts or spaces with high density.
